タイ西部、アンダマン海に浮かぶボン島で撮影したオニイトマキエイです。
マンタは沿岸性のナンヨウマンタ、外洋性のオニイトマキエイと２種に分けられます。
ナンヨウマンタは幅3mほどですが、オニイトマキエイは最大6mほどにもなります。
このマンタはオニイトマキエイで僕自身初めて出会いました。
遠くから大きな影が見えてきて、先回りして下から撮影した一枚です。

This is a manta ray taken on Bon Island in the Andaman Sea in western Thailand.
Manta rays are divided into two types: coastal reef manta rays and pelagic manta rays.
Reef manta rays are about 3m wide, but manta rays can be up to 6m wide.
I met this manta ray for the first time at Onito Makiei.
A big shadow can be seen from a distance, and this is a picture taken from below ahead of time.
